Your Employees are Organizing a Union

Managing employees who are not represented is quite a daunting task for most managers and supervisors. When they fail to take the warning signs of an emerging union, they end up allowing it to snowball into a major force that could stunt their productivity and harm their organization’s prospects.

It is therefore imperative for them to read the early signs of the formation of a union, which should ideally be before a union gets the appropriate number of signed Authorization Cards and the NLRB conducts a secret Election. It is said that the best election is one that is never held.

At a webinar that is being organized by Traininng.com, a leading provider of professional training for all the areas of regulatory compliance on July 23, Gerry McLaughlin, who brings over three decades of experience as a negotiator, will explain which early telltale signs management should look for in anticipating the creation of a union.
Please enroll for this highly valuable session by logging onto
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gerry will demonstrate as many as 20 signs to look for, which will give managements the hint that employees are forming a union. While the formation of a union is not illegal, doing so surreptitiously, in variance with the regulatory guidelines can spell trouble for the managements in organizations.
What you can and cannot do, guidelines of good management, dangers of signing the Authorization Card, the NLRB election, and unfair labor practices committed by Managers are some of the issues he will address at this session.  Learning all these will help managers be better armed with information, which will prepare them better to react early to the union, resulting in massive cost saving for the organization.
These are some of the key areas on which Gerry will offer in-depth understanding at this webinar:
  • Initial warning signs of union organizing
  • What you can do and what you cannot do
  • The dangers of your employees signing an Authorization Card
  • Unfair labor practices your managers may commit
  • The NLRB election and its intricacies
  • Tips, tactics and techniques of union organizing
  • Guidelines of good management
Managers, Supervisors, Directors, Vice Presidents, or any member of the management team with responsibility of managing or interacting with non-represented employees will benefit from this webinar.

Fashion industry ‘waking up’ to benefits of blockchain technology, robotics

Blockchain and robotics are becoming increasingly popular in the global fashion industry as brands look to increase transparency and improve efficiencies, according to GlobalData. While it is still in its infancy, blockchain technology has the potential to transform the global supply chain, says Michelle Russell, apparel correspondent at GlobalData. She says that during the last few years, the adoption of blockchain technology amongst apparel and textile companies has grown substantially as the pressure to have more visibility in the supply chain ramps up. “Its uses are varied as companies use the ledger to address problems in unethical behaviour, excess waste, the origin of goods, and counterfeiting.” German start-up Retraced recently launched a blockchain-based transparency solution that it is trialling with a number of fashion brands. Other examples include OpenSC which received US$4 million in seed funding for its platform that aims to build transparency around commodities know...

The information that follows applies to human resources personnel and management at all levels.Rewards and recognitions are the responsibility of all involved in the management and development of employees. Why You have to Know There are numerous elements that decide an association's arrangement around remuneration, advantages, prizes and acknowledgments. Maybe the absolute first choice that should be made is one of the essential estimations of the organization. Is it going to be an organization dependent on rank and security or one dependent on legitimacy - or a blend of the two? Government offices and association controlled associations as a rule settle on the real choices of remuneration around arrangement, rank and security. So too do numerous associations in the corporate world.Smaller organizations ...
